This summer a group from the church went to explore the Christian faith and to Listen to God through His creation. We were invited to sit silently in the woods for 45 minutes and allow God to speak.

Here are some thoughts written by Deirdre during her ‘still sit in the woods’

By the Calm Still Water

I sat and listened to the birds singing.
I closed my eyes, the wind gently blowing.
The sounds of cows breaks through.
Though my eyes are closed a light breaks through the trees as though it was shining on me.
God shines through the darkness of the trees and I know He is here and as I open my eyes I see God’s creation, how amazing and lucky we are.
