29 Aug 2012.

Despite some shocking weather over the weekend a hardy group from St Mary's enjoyed a great weekend of fellowship and fun at the Greenbelt Festival at Cheltenham racecourse.

The Festival - now in it's 40th year - embraces Faith, Arts and Justice and includes a wide variety of music, talks, performing and visual arts, worship, film and comedy.

The campsite and parts of the main site did turn to mud on Saturday after several hours of  torrential rain and lightning - and some took the opportunity to take up mud wrestling!

People from the group dipped into a wide range of sessions including the youth programme, slam poetry, time out in Soul Space, and a whole range of music from folk to hip-hop.

The sun came out for a wonderful time of communal worship on Sunday morning.

Despite the rain it was a great weekend - and if you are thinking of coming next year do come along - it's not normally this muddy :-)
