Selina enjoyed spending the afternoon with the children form Kingwood Childcare exploring the meaning of baptism through an afternoon celebrating the baptism of Prince George.

We explored the use of water, light and the special church shape in baptism and sang lots of songs! The children arrived dressed up for the occasion in all their special party outfits and took on the roles of the godparents and the Prince, Princess of Wales.

Joan Moore made a very good queen in her velvet and sparkles and Matthew from Kingwood stepped in as rather young looking Prince Philip. Penny brought scruffy who played the part of one of the royal corgies wonderfully and sparkling water and cake was enjoyed after the ceremony. The royal photographer came and reported on the event in the Culm Valley Gazette and we all had lots of fun in St Mary’s church!
