Agreed Charities

The Uffculme PCC agreed to adopt the following Overseas and UK Christian Charities to receive 5% of the planned giving and unallocated collections divided equally between them for 2013:

1. Karen Action Group (Overseas)


2. CHAT Housing (UK)

3. St Andrew's Children's Home, Peru (Overseas)


The PCC agreed to allocate a further 5% of the planned giving and unallocated collections to St Mary's Church Pastoral Fund which will be used to meet the pastoral needs of people within the benefice brought to the attention of the vicar and with the agreement of either the licensed lay minister or a churchwarden.


Other Giving

The loose collections, excluding planned giving envelopes unless otherwise specifically allocated by the giver, shall be allocated to the following charities:

1. The Sunday following Christian Aid Week
    Christian Aid (we also hope to organise a village collection for Christian Aid)

2. Harvest Festival Sunday Service 
 
    A humanitarian cause agreed by the PCC or if none are apparanet this collection         will be divided between our three charities above. 

3. Remembrance Sunday Service (plus the cost of a wreath)

    Royal British Legion 

CREATE (Centre for Rural Training and Excellence in children and youth ministry)

We continue to support CREATE children and youth ministry as our investment in children and young people in rural communities and Claire Stoney and Jacquie Elsdon are currently employed to support this ministry.


Square Corner

We continue to find creative ways to serve people who come to Uffculme through the ministry of Square Corner.
